Literacy Lift Off

Every child deserves the chance to read with confidence, and that starts with knowing who needs help—early. We can’t afford to wait until students fall years behind before we step in. Mississippi didn’t wait. They invested in early literacy, and today their students are much better off. This isn’t about adding pressure or more testing—it’s about making sure no child slips through the cracks simply because we didn’t look soon enough. Giving kids the right support early on is one of the most important things we can do, and it’s a step every community should consider.

Black Excellence Program

When kids work hard and succeed in school, we should celebrate it just as loudly as we do in sports or entertainment. Academic achievement deserves recognition, especially for students who are pushing through challenges to reach their goals. Small gifts or rewards can send a powerful message: we see you, we’re proud of you, and your effort matters. For some children, especially those without much encouragement at home, this kind of support can be life-changing. It builds confidence, motivates others, and helps shift the culture of school from survival to celebration. Every time we uplift a child doing well, we’re showing that excellence is not just expected—it’s honored.

Health & Fitness Challenge

Health and fitness are key to a strong, thriving community, and we should be supporting the people who help lead that charge. Fitness trainers and group instructors do more than teach exercises—they build discipline, confidence, and connection. By supporting their work and creating more access to group fitness activities, we create spaces where people feel motivated and encouraged to take care of themselves. These programs don’t just improve bodies—they improve moods, habits, and long-term health outcomes. When we invest in fitness leaders, we invest in the energy and well-being of everyone around them.
